She rested peacefully on 29th August, 2025 at the blessed age of 101,

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother„ and friend whose love and wisdom touched many lives. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith, kindness, and family love.

She will be laid to rest at Kangavva farm – Molo on Thursday 4th September 2025.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the Asitiba family announces the demise of our brother Wilson Clyde Asitiba (Mukuna) of Nabongo G. Stores Kisii, which occurred on Monday 25th August, 2025 at the Coptic Hospital Nairobi after a long illness bravely borne.

Wilson was son of the late Clyde Asitiba Otima and the late Mama Edna Ayieta Asitiba (Mama Nabongo).

He was husband of Jackline Kebong’o, father of Christian Kweya Asitiba and Emmanuel Marende Asitiba.

He was brother of Japheth Omuchere (late), Elijah Chitwa, Mary Asitiba, Edward Asitiba (Advocate Nairobi), Josephine Asitiba (Kakamega) and Jane Asitiba (judiciary Nyamira). He was also brother of Michael, Isaiah and Maurine.

He was son in law of Gethin Jethro Kebong’o (late) and Mama Jemimah Ondieki Kebong’o. Brother n law of Hellen, Evans, Florence, Enos, Ben, Susan, Shem, Stella, Norah, Linet, Grace, the late Christine, Regan, Emma, Ben and Grace.

The cortege is scheduled to leave Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) Mortuary on Thursday 4th September 2025 at 10.00 am for a church service at Getembe Church of God (COG) Kisii Town and thereafter proceed for an overnight vigil at his home within Kisii Municipality. The funeral service shall be held on Friday 5 September 2025, starting 9:00 AM at Nyambera Primary School Grounds Opposite Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) ) and thereafter interment at his home.

Born on 20th March 1984, Beth was the cherished and beloved last-born daughter of Mr. James Kathuku and Mrs. Winnie Wangui Kathuku. She was a loving sister of Major Michael Kariuki, Esther Njahira Kathuku, and the late Peter Kathuku junior.

She was a dear sister-in-law of Mrs. Catherine Njeri Kariuki (FSM) and a devoted aunt of Tito Yak Kuol, Michelle Kariuki, the late Josiah Kariuki, Joshua Kariuki, Katricia Kariuki, Nyanut Maluach, Shawn Kariuki, Bryson Kathuku, and many other nieces and nephews. Beth was also a cousin, a friend, and an aunty to many—including the Kagwanjas—all of whom cherished her deeply.

Fondly known as “Liz”, she was full of life—loving deeply, laughing easily, and touching countless lives with her kindness and cheer.

Prayer & Fellowship Meetings will be held at the All Saints’ Cathedral, Nairobi on Monday, 1st September 2025 – 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 2nd September 2025 – 5:00 p.m.
