It is with deep sorrow that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved Fred Edward Makila (formerly Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Finance) on 9th November 2025.

He was husband of the late Mary Theresa Were Makila. Father of Mary Adolwa, Sr Monica (Mt Carmel, Tindinyo), Marilyn Narotso, Namarome Ethel, Betsy Sela, Benjamin Mwambu, Thomas Mulomi, Veronica Narotso and David Wamumba. Father-in-law of Patrick Adolwa, Brian Gwehona and Gertrude Barasa.

Son of the late Timothy Makila and the late Symphorosa Namarome of Lutonyi Village, Kimilili. Son in law of the late Dionysus Oundo and the late Veronica Narotso Oundo.

Brother of the late Edmond, the late Ferdinand, Mary Mamati, the late Frida Makona, Henry, Roselyn Barasa, the late Elizabeth Wanyonyi, James Makila, Florence Buyayi and Charles Muiongo.

Brother-in-law of the late Patrick Mamati, the late Edward Makona, the late Agneta Makila, the late William Barasa, Francis Buyayi. The late Mary Ng’ong’a, the late Joseph Oundo, the late Mathias Oundo, the late Felistas Oundo, the late John Oundo, Gertrude Isalambo, the late Laura Oundo, Julita Afande, the late Ambassador Denis Afande and others.

Funeral arrangements are ongoing at the family home in Misikhu.

The cortege will leave Kiminini Funeral Home on Friday 14th November 2025 for a requiem mass at Misikhu Catholic Church and last respects at his Misikhu home before proceeding to the family home in Sirakaru for an overnight stay. The burial will take place in Sirakaru on Saturday 15th November 2025.

We regret to announce the death of Enock Kiprotich Boinett of Merewet Farm, who passed away on 4′ November 2025, while undergoing medical treatment at Reale Hospital, Eldoret. Until his demise he was headteacher at Chelalang Primary School.

He was married to Ruth Jepkogei Kiprotich. He was father of Collins Kimaru Boinett and Gideon Cheruiyot Boinett.

Son of the late George Boineu and Leah Boinett of Merewet, Uasin Gishu County. Loving brother of Caroline, Maryann, Robinson, the late Peris, Robert, Edina, Isaack, and Tracy.

Son-in-law of Rtd. Chief Joseph Kipsang Kiprotich and Mary Kiprotich of Kapkitony, Mao Location, Elgeyo Marakwet County. Brother-in-law of Abraham, Diana, Priscall,Ann, Andrew, Rhoda, lsaack, and Becky. He was a nephew, cousin, and uncle to the larger Boinett family and a friend to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily for prayers and moral support at his residence in Kimumu, Eldoret town, and at Merewet Farm in Uasin Gishu County.

The cortege leaves MTRH Eldoret on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 9.00am, for a memorial service at A.I.C. Vineyard, Kimumu, Eldoret, followed by in overnight stay at his residence in Kimumu. The funeral service and burial will be held on November 15, 2025, at Merewet Farm.

He was the son of the late Lubalo Okoya and the late Mama Agutu Mwenda.

The late Mr. Okello was the loving husband of Brigitta Atieno Okello, cherished father of Elias Oduor, Caroline Akoth, Janet Aluoch, Veronica Achieng, Edward Otieno “Edu Lights”, David Otieno and Belinda Auma; doting grandfather of Claudia Mokera, Cindy Akinyi, Bridgit Atieno and Astrid Ulani Otieno; great grandfather of Nathan Hawi Okello, Nigel Havi.

Brother of the late Alexandre Owino, Regina Akoth, Paskalia Adero, Betty Musodho & the late Felix Otieno(Maria); Father in law of George Nyachiro & John Onunga,

Brother-in-law of the late Anyango, Osuma, the late Ajiki & Philister juma (Nyalalo). Uncle of Ochieng, Omondi, Aluoch & Benson Otieno, many others; cousin of Orwenyo Oganda, George Oganda, Okoya Ahenda, Barak Ahenda, Okoth Ahenda & Dr. Odinga Oduol and friend to many.

Until his demise, he served as the secretary general of Luo Council of elders, Siaya County, Facility management committee member at Benga Community dispensary; Patron and BOM member in several schools in Alego, Usonga. He will be fondly remembered for his humility, generosity, commitment to family and, selfless service to the community.

The burial will take place on Saturday, 22nd November 2025, at his home in Waliera (Benga), Usonga Location, Siaya County.

Esther was the wife of CPA Dennis Wambua Kimanzi of DK Wambua and Associates. She was the mother of Emmanuel Mumo Wambua, Ephraim Woni Wambua, and Precious Mutheu Wambua.

She was the daughter of Pius Nzioka Nzuki and Anastacia Mary Pius of Kiangini Location, Kathonzweni Ward – Makueni County; sister of Beatrice Ndunge Ndeti, Dorcas Wanza, Jeniffer Wavinya Muindi, Daniel Maingi, Jackosn Mulinge, and Benjamin Nzuki.

Sister-in-law of Ambrose Ndeti Kalani, Simon Muindi Kasirnu, Elizabeth Mumbua Maingi, Miriam Ndunge Mulinge, and Lucy Syombua Nzuki.

She was daughter in-law of Dorcas Kavivi Kimanzi of Kyanundu, Kivou Ward, Mwingi-Kitui County, sister in-law of Monicah Nduo, Christine Mwanziu, Pastor Tom Kimanzi, FCPA Mary Kinvanzi, and Margaret Mueni David. She was aunt to many nephews and nieces.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at their home, Karen End Villas Residence, off Dagoretti Road from 5.30pm daily for burial preparations and financial support.

There will be a giving day/fellowship in support of the burial on Tuesday 18th November 2025 at 6.00pm to be held at St. Andrews, PCEA Church, along Nyerere Rd, Nairobi.

He was the beloved son of the late Francis Miring’u Mungai & the late Ruth Wanjiru Mungai.

Loving and devoted husband of Ann Mukuhi Mungai. Doting father of Lynn Wanjiru Mungai and Francis Miring’u Mungai. Devoted step – father of Abigail Cherotich and Samuel Kipkoech.

Beloved and cherished brother of Charles Ng’ang’a Miring’u (Charlie), Jane Waithera Mungai and Grace Njoki Githinji.

He was a dear brother-in-law of Richard Githinji Njoroge, Steve Wambugu, Francis Ngare, the late Esther Nyokabi, Tabitha Mokaya and Peter Ndegwa.

Doting grandfather of Makena Wairimu Ng’arua and proud Uncle of Bryan Ngochi, Joanne Miringu, Trevor Githinji, Nicole Githinji, Brandon Githinji & Sharon Wanjiru.

He was an adored nephew, cousin and uncle of the Mungai Kabage Family of Kiambaa and the Ng’ang’a family of Ndenderu. A friend to many and an alumni of the Nairobi School the ‘Old Cambrians’.

His life was a testament to kindness, humility, and service, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

The cortege will leave KU Referral Hospital Morgue on the morning of Saturday. 15th November 2025, for the burial at his rural home in Maliku, Kitui Central.

It is with great sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we share the passing of Engineer Christopher Mwachi Muhande, previously of Norken Ltd. on Wednesday, 5th November 2025. Christopher was a pillar in our lives and will be deeply missed.

He was the loving husband to Regina Lihabi Shikala, and father of Concepta, Joan, Paul and Stella.

He was the son of the late Alphonce Muhande and the late Bertha Ingato; 5th born in a large loving family of 13 siblings including Andrea Shimekha, Linus Luseno, Tresina Buhasio. Stanslaus Lumasai, Angelina Chitwa and Josephine Aluuwa, all deceased. He is survived by two sisters, Electina Mukabwa and Jacinta Adeli.

He was a cherished grandfather of Kwame Amolo, Maria Nafula, Grace Dhabi and Matthew Muhande.

He was a caring father-in-Law of Neville Amolo and will be greatly missed by his in-laws, extended family, friends and the many communities he touched with his kindness and generosity.

Prayers and meetings are being held daily at the family home in Nairobi until Wednesday 12th November 2025.

The requiem mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, (off Ngong Road) on Thursday 13th November at 8.30 am.
