He was the beloved son of the late Paul Kimani-Ruo and the late Keziah Wanjiku Kimani-Ruo. He was the eldest son in a family of 5 namely, the late Evans Gathobe Kimani-Ruo, the late Ngugi Kimani-Ruo, Geoffrey Mbugua Kimani-Ruo and the late Moses Nyutu Kimani-Ruo.

He was the loving husband of Wambui Kimani-Ruo and devoted father of Joy Ruo-Vogt, Kimani Ruo-Kimani, Nduati Ruo-Kimani and Georgina Ruo-Kimani. Grandfather of Wambui Kimani, Jasmine Vogt, Liam Emil Nnko and Imani Kimani. Father-in-law of Emiljumbe Nnko, He was the loving uncle and friend to many.

Friends and family are meeting in: Nairobi: Parklands Sports Club on 03rd December, 05th December & 08th December 2025 from 05.30pm to 7.00pm. Naivasha home: Daily from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

The cortege leaves Avenue Funeral Home (First Parklands) on 10th December 2025 at 07.30am followed by the burial at his final resting place at his home in Ihindu, Naivasha.

He was the beloved son of Wilson Kabogoro and Christine Wanjiru Karimi.

Husband of Jane Nioki Muthee and loving father of Jamari Karimi Muthee and Taji Mwangi Muthee, a family he cherished with all his heart.

Ben’s world revolved around his children; he found his greatest fulfilment in nurturing them, celebrating their milestones and dreaming of their future. His love for Jamari and Taji was deep and unwavering, and he embraced every moment of fatherhood with tenderness, joy and pride.

He was a cherished brother of Susan Mukami Karimi, Lilian Wangari Karimi, Yvonne Nyawira Karimi, and Sammy Derrick Mwangi Karimi.

Ben was also a beloved son-in-law and brother-in-law of the Mwangi family, and a friend to many. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, warm -smile, humility and kindness.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Saga’s Hotel,Thika Road from 5:30pm, and at the family home in Riverside Estate, Nyeri from 5:00pm.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, 2nd December 2025 at 5:00pm at Queen of Apostles, Ruaraka Catholic Mission, Nairobi.

Our dearest Brian was a final year student at Moi University School of Law and was hoping to graduate on 18/12/2025. Brian was also an Alumni of Moi High School – Kabarak and AIC Visa Oshwal Primary School – Kabarnet.

He was a devoted husband of Margaret Wanjiru Gaitho, and a loving father of Pharis Muigai Gaitho & Miriam Wanjiku, Rahab Wambui Gaitho, Simon Kimani Gaitho & Veronica Waithira, Lilian Kamwende Mungai &Victor Mungai, and David Kori Gaitho.

He was a brother of David Kori Gachoya, Hannah Njeri Gichui, the late Alice Wangui Maina, Silas Nganga Gachoya, Samuel Mucai Gachoya, Mary Wanjiku Gachoya, and the late Jane Nyambura Gachoya, He was a cherished grandfather to many.

Dr. Kola was a treasured aunt, godmother, mentor, counsellor, teacher, and loyal friend whose impact was felt by many.

She was a loving mother-in-law to the late Irene Wanjugu Mathenge, Pete Kihara Kanyenje, Frida Chiambaka Macharia, Mary Wanjugu Mbuthia and Ngendo Wangu Gioko. She is survived by many grand and great grandchildren.
