25th Anniversary

Sunrise: 1930 – Sunset: 2001

25 years have passed since you left this world, and I remember you with a thankful heart.

Time has not erased you; it has clarified you. I have now lived more years without you than with you, yet so much of who I am has been shaped by the time we shared. Your voice echoes in my decisions, your values continue to guide me, and your love remains a quiet compass, even in uncertain times. I remember you not only as your child but as a parent. In raising my son, I see you more clearly. I understand your patience, love, your quiet sacrifices and even your worries. Your grandson knows you through stories and in the traits that have traveled through generations: hardwork, love, humility, strength, generosity, and moral courage.

We trust that you know you are remembered and loved, and that your legacy lives on in the way we try to live, forgive freely, and care for those around us.

Lovingly remembered by your daughter, Jackline Gathoni, and deeply revered by your grandson, Ethan Gitaka.

One Year Anniversary

Sunrise – August 19th 1948 – Sunset – January 20th 2025

Dear Mummy, It has been one year since you left us, and yet it feels like only yesterday. It has been challenging to navigate life without you, but we accept God’s will.

We still hear your voice, feel the warmth of your smile and remain covered in your love. We continue to learn from the humility in how you lived your life, and your spirit of giving. We still marvel at the dedication with which you praised the Lord. Our hearts are full of thanksgiving knowing we were raised by an Angel, whose legacy is firmly imprinted in our hearts and minds.

We appreciate the many who showed up for you — those who prayed, visited, called, gave financial support and continue to walk with us today and the kindness we have received lightens the burden during this difficult time. We miss you deeply and will forever treasure your gift of enduring love.

Rest in eternal peace. Fondly missed by your children Sharon, Andia and Yolanda, your grandchildren, sons-in-law, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” – 1 Thessalonains 5:16-18
