It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Martin Mabonga Nandaa, a devoted son, brother, father, and grandfather, remembered for his love, integrity, compassion, and peaceful nature.

He was Born on 22nd August 1970 at Kakamega Hospital to the late John Wanyama Nandaa and Rebecca Mideva Wanyama, he was the firstborn in his family.

He began his career as a teacher at Kabuyefwe Mixed School (1995-2006) and later transitioned into public service in 2007 rising through ranks to become Sub-county Director Youth Affairs, Transzoia East.

He is survived by his seven children: Eugabeth Mideva Mabonga, Samuel Mabonga Wekesa, Brandon Mabonga, Oscar Wekesa, Isabel Nekesa, Elsie Mideva, and Anne Nasike, alongside his siblings and extended family.

He passed away suddenly on 6th March 2026 while in good health.

The late Maboga shall be moved from Cherangany nursing home for an overnight vigil. The burial service will be held at Kiungani Primary School on Saturday 21st March 2026 starting at 9.00AM. His legacy of service, faith, and dedication will remain deeply cherished.

She was a dear sister of the late Elizabeth Mugotho Moche, Mary Wangui Wamagata, Joan Wairimu Mbuthia, Jane Njeri Maina, Michael Michuki Wamagata, the late Patrick Ngachu Wamagata, and Carol Nduru.

Annie was a proud and nurturing mother of Darliah Muthoni Mbugua of CBK, the late Sylviah Wanjiru Mbugua Ragui. Caroline Wanjeri Ragui of Calgary, Canada and the late Fredrick Ragui. She was also a cherished mother-in-law of Moses Maina Waiguru of Calgary, Canada. Her love extended richly into the next generations.

She was a doting and proud grandmother of Jessica Karegi, Trevor Jared Mbugua of Donhoim Service and Business Centre, Saniantha Annie Wariara, Sean Fredrick Ragui. Leroy Niambute Junior of Family Bank, Zion Joseph Waiguru and Zaria Njoki Waiguru of Calgary, Canada. Annie was further blessed to see her legacy continue as a great-grandmother of Adrielle Ilana Wanjiru and Javier Jared Mbugua. To many, she was more than family-she was a guiding light, a caring aunt, a treasured cousin, and a pillar within the fkagui and Wamagata families.

Annie’s kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit touched countless lives.
