Festus John Ong’udi Amimo

This is a solemn announcement from the family of the late Senior Elder Oaduongl Oliech on the passing of their beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and grandfather, Festus John Ong’udi Amimo, formerly of Kenya Broadcasting Corporation, Kisumu and KBC Mayienga Dholuo Service, passed on 7th December 2025.

He was the son of Nashon Amimo Oliech and Mama Agnes Achieng Amimo.

Loving husband of Roselyne Achieng Ong’udi and father of Kennedy Ibrahims, Agnes Monica, and Noella Nadia.

Brother of Nancy Amimo, the late Susan Bett, and Lydiah Amimo.

Cousin of Martin Kenneth, Nicholas, Kennedy, Evans, Mark, Tom, Richard, and Enock.

Dotting uncle of James, Tonny, Shyrine,Marion, Marianne, Mirabel and Theo Nashon.

He was the son-in-law of Senior Chief John Odhiambo Opande and Mama Consolata Odhiambo of Ayucha, Sub-Location.

A Requiem Mats will be held on Wednesday, 17th December 2025 at 12:00 pm at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Jacaranda, Nairobi.

The body will be airlifted to Kisumu International Airport on Thursday, 18th December 2025, followed by a requiem mass at St. John the Apostle Catholic Parish Awasi, and thereafter an overnight Vigil at his home in Awasi.

Burial will take place on Friday, 19th December 2025 at the family home in Awasi, Border 2 Sub- location, Nyando Constituency, Kisumu County.
