It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved loving Mother, Mwalimu Agatha Wakio Mwakio of Kidaya Ngerenyi location, TaitaTaveta county, which occurred on 8th January 2019 after a long illness.

Beloved daughter of the late Placid Mwakisachi and the late Elizabeth Katini. Sister of Maria Chao, Michael Mkalla, Getrude Kitawa, Odilia Maghema and Clement Mwamburi (all deceased). Loving wife of Mfalme David Mwakio. Mother of Flavian Mwazo (formerly of NBK), Anselm Mghanga (CIT), Elizabeth Katini, Bonaventure Mwandau (Kilifi County), Margaret Waleghwa, Placid Mwakisachi, Gibran Mwawuri, Lucy Wambugha (KNH). Mother-in-law of Hon. Senator Dan Mwazo, Ann Mwazi, Patricia Mwandau, Jenipher Dali and Pst. Stella Nzwii. Auntie of Hon. Mashengu Wa Mwachofi and Jacinta Mwatela (Formerly of CBK) among others. Grandmother of Pitwell, David, Agather, Purity, Dennis, Emmaculate, Hope, Mary, Felix, Cornelius, Clare, Adella, Audrey, Michelle, Henry, Boniface, Rose, EmmanuelAbednego and Danielle. Great grandmother of Christian and Ari.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily for burial arrangements at Coast General Hospital Mombasa at 4.00pm.

There will be a fund raising on Tuesday 15 January 2019 5.00pm, at All Saints cathedral for those in Nairobi and Wednesday 16 January 2019 from 5.00pm at Coast General Hospital, Mombasa.

The cortege leaves Aga khan hospital Msa on 18th January at 12.00pm for Taita. Funeral service will be held at Mreshinyi Social Hall on Saturday 19th January 2019 from 8:30am and later laid to rest at her home.

 You fought a good fight Mao and you finished the race. You kept the faith.

We thank God for the wonderful and happy moments we spent together.

Mao, we will always miss you because you had a beautiful soul; and wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories. Shine on your way Mao, as you dance with the angels.
