It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing on of Agnes Kalekye Matheka on Thursday 14th August 2025.

She was beloved wife of MathewMatheka Kyenge. Loving mother of Elizabeth Muthini, Peter Nguma, Mary Mumbua, Eunice Kanini, Florence Mwongeli, Phylis Mwikali, and Jennifer Mutindi. Loving Mother in-law of Angela Nguma, Christopher Kilului, Gideon Ndambuki, Ambrose Komu & Bernard Kitonyi. Grandmother of Mercy, Nancy, Abigail, Alvin, Shalom, Lewis, Perl, Ethan, Lee, Faith, Levin, Ashley and Lexi.

She was the firstborn daughter of Wilson Nzuki and the late Alice Mucheu (Ndaliki) and loving sister of Joshua Musa, Alfred Kyalo, the late Jackson Mutwika, Julius Muendo, Annah Mueni and Benjamin Muli.

She was daughter in law of the late Kyenge and the late Lydia Kyenge. Sister-in-law of Timothy, Jonathan, Thomas, Sarah, Ruth, Janet, Jedidah, Grace, Mary, Regina, Rose, Fridah, and the late Kithuka.

Friends and family are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at her home Kakili village, Nguu Masumba ward, Makueni County.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home-Machakos on Tuesday 26th August 2025 for funeral service and burial at her home Kakili village, Nguu Masumba ward.
