It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce and celebrate the promotion to glory of our beloved matriarch Alice Njeri Githae (Wagacanja) of Kanjuri Village, Magutu location Karatina, Nyeri County on 5th January 2019.

Wife of the late Githae Kibuchi. Daughter of the late Mundu wa Mmeru and Cecilia Kanuu of Embu County. Sister of late Joyce Keeru, Teresia Kagondu, the late Ruth Gitiri, Joseph Kiambi, Patrick Nithi, the late Njoka, Marigu, the late Njue, the late Nancy Wechengi, Wandiri, the late Kanyua, Anderson Ireri and the late Gichagua. Loving mother of Geoffrey Gacanja, Charles Karoki, Mellen Muthoni, Ann Wanjira, Mary Wamuyu, late Mercy Wandia and Anthony Kiambi of Datacore Systems Limited.

Mother-in-law of Catherine Muthoni, Teresa Njeri and Florence Njeri. Grandmother of Martin (Lymed Supplies), Alice and Jennifer Gacanja, Purity, Mercy, Robert (Inter-Care Agencies), Wanja, Kariuki, Judy, Ndegwa Mwangi (KIMC), Mumbi, Alice, Githae, Ndungu, Alice Gichimu, James (Businessman, Chaka), Muriuki, Muthii, Muthoni, Nyaga (Multigen Supplies), George (Unicare Scientific), Karim , Nyaguthii, Abigail Mercy, Abigail Florence and Jayden. Great grandmother, aunt of many.

Relatives and friends are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements at the Holy Family Basilica St Bakhita Hall from 5.30pm and at her rural home in Kanjuri village, Karatina.

There shall also be a church service on Thursday 10th January, 2019, at PCEA Kasarani Church starting at 7 00pm.

The cortege leaves Jamii Nursing Home-Karatina on Saturday 12th January 2019 at 8.30am for a Church service at Kanjuri PCEA Church and burial thereafter at her Kianiirui-ini farm.
