We gather to bid farewell to a remarkable soul, Agnes Jessie Nduku Mandi

Agnes, born on June 6th 1952, in Mukaa sub- county to the late Ernest Nzioka Mandi and the late Dorcas Katumbi Nzioka. She grew up in a Christian home surrounded by her siblings George Mutua, Gideon Nyamasyo, Evelyn
Mwikali, and Jeremy Kyeva.

Her educational journey began at Mukaa Primary School, igniting a thirst for knowledge that led her to excel at Kenya Girls High School and pursue higher education at the University of Kohla Pur, India, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree and an Advanced Diploma in Internationa! Relations.

Agnes’ professional path was marked by dedication and service, with a distinguished career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, spanning assignments across countries, including the Netherlands, the UK, India, and Australia. She was the Deputy High Commissioner during her tenure in India.

Beyond her achievements, Agnes was known for her warmth and infectious laughter, spreading joy wherever she went. In her later years, she found solace in rural life, tending her farm in Aimi ma Kilungu, Mukaa sub-county.

As we reflect on Agnes’s life, her legacy of love, laughter, and service resonates profoundly. Though we mourn the loss of a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, we also celebrate a life that will forever shine brightly in our hearts.

Agnes is survived by her cherished children, Adrian Musa Muuo Mandi and Audrey Lulu Mwende Mandi who carry forward her legacy with pride.

Rest in peace, dear Agnes, knowing your spirit lives on eternally.
