It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Annie Jepkoske Rono, 0GW, retired civil servant, that occurred at Moi Teaching and Refferal Hospital on 13th August 2025.

Daughter of the late Joel Kipchoge Cheboi and Philomena Tapsimei and the late Flora Tamining. Daughter-in-law of the lateThomas Kiprono Matutu and the late Paulina Matutu.

Beloved wife of the late Daniel Kipkoech Rono. Mother of Scholar & Josphat Kataron, Carol & the late Jonah Serem, Judy & Bruno Mose, Timmo & Gladys Koech, Leon & Nelly Koech and Shallom Jepchirchir.

Sister of Nicholas, Joseph, John, Matthew, George, Samuel, Andrew, Jacqueline, Rosemond, Bernard, Philip, Caroline, Leonida and Christopher.

Sister-in-law of the late Esther Berech and Elizabeth Sang.

Grandmother of George, Bill, Borkolo, Hope, Ptelo, Kevin, Asaph, Ryan, Ayana, David, Jeanette, Gabriella, Liam, Eliana, Lasoi,Taita and Zahra.

Annie Jepkoske Rono was niece, cousin, aunt and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily for condolences and prayers at her home in Chesogor starting 3.00 p.m.

The cortege will leave Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary on Friday 22nd August 2025 at noon for memorial service and over-night vigil at her home. Burial will be on Saturday 23rd August 2025 in Chesogor Village, Kong’asis Sub-location in Soy location of Uasin Gishu County.

2nd Timothy 4.7-8 ‘I have fought the good fight, have finished the race, l have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day — and not only to me, but also to those who have longed for his appearing.’
