Annie Wariara Mbugua

It is with deep sorrow, yet humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing of our beloved Annie Wariara Mbugua Ragui -a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, wife, and friend Her He was a beautiful testimony of love, strength, grace, and unwavering faith.

Annie was the devoted and loving wife of Jared Mbugua Ragui (JR) of Donholm Service and Business Centre, with whom she built a life grounded in love and family.

She was the loving daughter of the late Mr. John Ferdinand Wamagata and Mrs. Beatrice Wannjru Wamagata. She was a dear sister of the late Elizabeth Mugotho Moche, Mary Wangui Wamagata, Joan Wairimu Mbuthia, Jane Njeri Maina, Michael Michuki Wamagata, the late Patrick Ngachu Wamagata, and Carol Nduru.

Annie was a proud and nurturing mother of Darliah Muthoni Mbugua of CBK, the late Sylviah Wanjiru Mbugua Ragui. Caroline Wanjeri Ragui of Calgary, Canada and the late Fredrick Ragui. She was also a cherished mother-in-law of Moses Maina Waiguru of Calgary, Canada. Her love extended richly into the next generations.

She was a doting and proud grandmother of Jessica Karegi, Trevor Jared Mbugua of Donhoim Service and Business Centre, Saniantha Annie Wariara, Sean Fredrick Ragui. Leroy Niambute Junior of Family Bank, Zion Joseph Waiguru and Zaria Njoki Waiguru of Calgary, Canada. Annie was further blessed to see her legacy continue as a great-grandmother of Adrielle Ilana Wanjiru and Javier Jared Mbugua. To many, she was more than family-she was a guiding light, a caring aunt, a treasured cousin, and a pillar within the fkagui and Wamagata families.

Annie’s kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit touched countless lives.

Family, friends, and well-wishers are meeting daily at the family home in Uthiru 87 from 4.00 pm to 6-00 pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home (Argwings Kodhek Road) on Wednesday, 25th March 2026 at 80:00 am, followed by a funeral service and burial at the family home in Uthiru 87, off Waiyaki Way (between Shell Petrol Station and Wea Pipes).

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in knowing that she lived a full and meaningful life, anchored in faith and love.
