It is with thanksgiving and joy to the Lord that we accept and announce the passing of Mzee Joanes Kola Atwecho of Kajulu West Location, Wath Orego, Kisumu County which occurred on Sunday, July 7th, 2019.

Brother of Agatha Odongo, Jennifer Omiti and the late Lowo. Husband of the late Magdalina Sewe Kola and Grace Oliech Kola. Father of Goretty, Philip, Dalmas, the late John Mbaga, Dr. Raphael Ominde, Consolata, the late Benta Adero, Getrude, Susan, Rhoda, Musa, the late Judith Awuor, Habakkuk and Lorna. Father-in-law of Anne, Elsa, Mary, Hellen, Olivia Kollah, Goretty Akoth, and Dorothy. He is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be a major fundraising at All Saint’s Cathedral on Thursday 18th July, 2019 from 5.00pm.

The funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, July 26th at St. Francis Riwo Church, Kisumu at 12 noon.

Burial will be at his home in Kanyumba village on Saturday, July 27th.
