Beatrice Wanjiru Njuguna (Beatie)

07th November, 1936 – 17th April, 2022

Our beloved Beatrice Wanjiru Njuguna (Beatie) passed away peacefully on the morning of Easter Sunday.

She was the daughter of the late Mbiru Mare and the late Edith Mumbi Mbiru and the sister of Fred Mare Mbiru.

She was wife of the late James Njuguna, and the mother of Sammy Mbiru, Dr Dorothy Shako, the late Edith (Sissy) Mumbi, Wilson Gitu, the late Phyllis Nduta, Louis Ndungu, Irene Njoki, Fred Mare Njuguna and Wanjiru Mugo.

She was sister in law of Emily Wairimu Mbiru, the late Phyllis Nduta, Lily Wambui, Florence Wangari, the late Rachel Wahu, Samuel Ndung’u, Jeremiah Mwaura, Henry Waithaka.

She was mother-in-law of Irene Mbiru, the late Eng. Ken Shako, Jane Gitu, Alice Ndungu, Jayne Mare and Peter Mugo.

She was a loving cousin, auntie, grandmother and great grandmother to many.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home at 9:30am on Thursday 21st April 2022 for a funeral service at Parklands Baptist Church at 11am, followed by burial on the same day at Lang’ata Cemetery.
