It is with humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the passing on of Bernard Echessa, in his sleep on 9th January, 2018.

Loving son of Mr. John Elisha Echessa and Mrs. Margaret Echessa. Brother of Lynnette, Willis, Prisca, Emily and Joyce. Nephew of the late Simeon Maloba, Alice, Sarah, Gideon, Robert, Kenneth, the late Nyerere, Consolata, Florence, Hannington and Elizabeth.

Grandson of the late Boaz & the late Doris VVerimo, the late Jonathan Osodo and Kukhu Joyce Khamala. Brother-in-law of Vincent Abuje, Eric Shisoka and Wicliff Omondi. Uncle of Stephen, Aaron, Michelle, the late John, Bradley, Tony and Nana. Cousin of Rose, Vincent Akuka, Jonathan, Owino, Rogers, Abigael, Wilberforce, Catherine, Boaz, Victor,Anne, Monica, Julia, Linus, Tiso, Ogeno, Patrick, Doris, Ronny, Pamela, Alvin, Moraa, Mark, Tony, Ojwang, Arich,Quin, Quincy, Yvette, Angela and Conde among others. Friend to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his parents home at Niger II Estate in Athi River. There shall also be a meeting at Garden Square on Wednesday 17th January, 2018 from 5.30pm.

The cortege leaves Chiromo Funeral Parlour on Thursday 18th January, 2018 for a prayer service at St. Paul ACK. Church Athi River on the same day.

Burial will take place on Saturday 20th January 2018 at Echessa’s home in Nyamwanga village, Bumala, Busia county.

‘And on that day when my strength is failing, the end draws near and my time has come still my soul will sing your praise unending, ten thousand years and forever more. Bless the Lord O my soul.’
