Bill Jnr. Lorupe “Ballot” Kassait
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Bill Jnr. Lorupe “Ballot” Kassait. A student of Aga Khan High School, Nairobi. Ballot passed away peacefully on 17th March 2026, surrounded by love and courage.
He was the beloved son of Hon. William Kamket Kassait, CBS (MP Tiaty Constituency) and Immaculate Kassait MBS, SC (Data Commissioner). A devoted and loving brother of Emmanuel Chumba (Strathmore University), Jeremy Pkokon (University of Nairobi), Abigael Chelimo (Riara School), Mercy Cheporiot, Kevin Pkemoi (Kabarak University) and Barbra (Moi High School Kabarak).
Ballot was an adored grandson of the late Simon Kamket Mokogh and Cheptete, “Ballot” Kassait Chepokugho, Chepochesirwo and of Stephen Kagume Njenge and Magdaline Wambui Njenge.
He was a cherished nephew of Chepsikur, Linah, Rael, Lopunei, Mary, Musa and Abigael, Kamama,Rotich, Krop, Chepturu, Chepkura, Lukeno, Kalekeno, Chenangat, Lupenyo and Kukat Phylis and Timothy, Hilary and Stella, Benjamin and Augustine Victor.
He was a beloved cousin of Kapilil, Mnyokuu, Kamama, Cherop, Harry, Lokeno, Pturu, Joyce, Dave, Nalekat, Kennedy, Katiba, Kakrut, Cheyech, Kakwo, Moses, Lukeno, Pturu, Tisha, Stephan, Savannah, Adrian, Austin and Alvin among others and a true friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him, forming meaningful connections wherever he went.
The cortege will leave Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital on Monday, 23rd March 2026. The funeral mass and burial will take place at his parents’ home in Kositei Village, Kositei Location, Nginyang Division, Tiaty Constituency, Baringo County, on Monday, 23rd March 2026 at 9.00 am.
