Bishop Emeritus Michael Joshua Sande

The entire Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK) network and fraternity join together with the family and friends of the Rt. Rev. Michael Sande to mourn his sudden passing on the evening of Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
Bishop Sande was a visionary and dedicated leader who served CHAK diligently in various capacities for over 30 years, including most recently as a Trustee. He is also our immediate former Chairman and former Treasurer. We will forever remember Bishop Sande for his inspiring leadership, integrity and pursuit of excellence.
The funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, January 29, 2021, at Luke’s Cathedral, Butere.
Burial service will be on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Mwihila Secondary School, Kakamega County.

I was a good friend and roommate of John Sande when the passing of Rev. Michael Sande occurred. John and I were living in California. I was with John when he received the news and witnessed his emotional breakdown. It was painful to watch because John had become a well liked and trusted friend. I have an amazing photo of John and I when he went hiking with me to a hot springs. I never knew the Bishop but heard wonderful things about him when John would chat with me about him. My sincerest condolences. I just found this site, that’s why the late response.
