Bishop Karanja Kariuki

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Bishop Karanja Kariuki which occurred at his home in Ruai on 4th May, 2019 after a long illness.

Son of the late Elijah Kariuki Gikuru and Miriam Wambui Elijah. Husband of Grace Wanjiru Karanja. Father of James Kariuki, Chege Karanja, Njenga Karanja, Muthemba Karanja and Marion Wambui. Brother of the late Dr. Kariuki, Sarah Wangari Kagunda, Jane Muthoni Kariuki, Mary Wanjiru Njoroge, Eunice Njeri Okello and Hafex Ng’ang’a. Brother-in-law of Dedan Muthemba, Marion Muthemba, Felix Muthemba, Lucy Kanyua, Anne Nduru, John Muthemba, Peter Muthemba, Evans Muthemba and Jennifer Waweru. A grandfather of Leon Kamiri Karanja, Mark Karanja, Nathan Karanja and Grace Wanjiru.

Burial arrangements are going on at his residence in Ruai every day.

The cortege leaves Uplands Funeral Home on Tuesday 14th May at 9:00am. Burial will follow at his nderu farm in Ndeiya Division, Ndeiya Location in Nderu Village next to the stage of Mirithu Girls Secondary School.
