Callen Nyanchama Okara

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the death of Callen Nyanchama Okara of Pest Control Board which occurred on 5th January 2020 at Aga Khan Hospital after a short illness.

Beloved wife of Sam Okara of WFP. Mother of Dr. Phanice (UK), Shreeve and Justin. Daughter of Johnson Atuke Ondicho (late) arid Miriam Marube of Kuresoi. Daughter-in-law of the late Joshua Okara and the late Rael Okara. Sister of Jeremiah, the late Nyaboke, David, Grace Sure, Joyce Onsongo, the late Justin, the late Cliff, Bosibori, Jacqueline Opini, the late Paul, Elijah, and Mokeira. Sister-in-law of Henry and Agnes Nyariki, Julius and Christine Okara, Lucas and Joyce Okara. Mugambi (late) and Peris, Donald (late) and Jemimah Okara, Peter and Loice Okara, Atai and Elizabeth (late), David and Alice Kiage, Erasto and Elizabeth Okara. Aunt, niece, cousin, mentor and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her Ongata Rongai residence from 6pm.

The church service will be held at Nairobi Central SDA Church on Thursday, 9th January from 9 am followed by a fundraiser from 5pm in the same venue at the Old Sanctuary.

The cortege will leave Nairobi and proceed to Molo on Friday, 10th. She will be laid to rest on Sunday, 12th January at her Molo home.
