It is hard to believe that it has been 5 years!

Strong-willed as you were in life, you remain that way in our hearts and our minds and we are grateful for that!

We see you in simple things these days. The way your grandkids love gardening and flowers, their empathy for animals, and their ability to understand them in ways we probably were never able to do when you were here.

Forever gone and always remembered. Mama, lssah, Jayne, Benah, Gogo, Sony, Franko, Lindsey and Fankhauser all miss you a lot. We look forward to telling the rest of the grandkids all about you and that from where you are, you see the beauty that is your legacy.

A year ago, we lost you, the cornerstone and the pillar of our family, Time has done little to dull the pain of your absence. Our hearts still break with every day that passes without you. You were the best husband, father and brother to us, and it is the honour of a lifetime to be known as your family.

You are dearly and desperately missed by your beloved wife Pauline Nyambura, your loving daughters Karen Wangari, Ciru Muriuki, and Christine Muthoni, your siblings David Gakuo, Philip Thusta, Stephen Matheri, Anthony Waiganjo and Peter Weru, your nieces and nephews, and your large circle of friends in Kenya and around the world,

The Muriuki family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has stood with us during this most difficult time. It is a year since you left us. So many things we never got to say. We never imagined you would be so far away. The blow was great and the shock severe. We little thought the end was near. A part of us went with you, the day God called you home. Nothing can take away the love we hold so dear to you.

Fond memories linger every day and remembrance keeps you so near to us. Remembering you is easy, and we do it every day, but missing you is heartache that will never go away.
