Elder Geoffrey Kinyua Mwaniki

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Elder Geoffrey Kinyua Mwaniki after a long battle with cancer. Until his death, Mr. Kinyua was the head teacher at Njumbi Primary School, Murang’a county and an elder at Karura PCEA Church.

Son of the late Charles Gachuri Karoki and Lydia Wandia Gachuri. He was husband to Betty Wairimu Kinyua of DEB Primary School, Karatina. Brother to Peter Waithaka, Daniel Mureithi, the late Samuel Mugweru, Rev. Christopher Muchiri, Benson Muthigani, John Maina, the late Richard Muriuki and Rose Wamuyu. He was a step brother to the late Francis Wachira. He was father to Samuel Kaigi, Charles Gachuri and Roselydia Wandia. Son-in-law to Samuel Kaigi Mucheru and the late Lucy Wambui Kaigi of Gatunguru village, Muran’ga County.

The cortege leaves Jamii Hospital Mortuary, Karatina on Saturday, 24th October, 2020 at 9:00am for a funeral service at Karura Primary School and thereafter, burial at his home near the school.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the Promotion to Glory of Adrian Abraham Syamba on 15th October 2020 at The Mater Hospital.

Adrian was the son of Arthur Onyango Syamba and the late Beatrice Akoth Onyango Syamba of Osieko Village, Yimbo West Location, Bondo sub-County, Siaya County.

Brother of Maureen Naomie, Raychelle Syamba, and Paul Festus Ochieng’. Uncle of Sheri, Sonia and Berachiah. Grandson of Abraham Syamba, the late Grace Otieno and Ismael Odindo and Naomie Odindo.

A cousin and friend to many and Chairman of Volvo Owners Association Kenya.

There will be a funds drive at their home, Forest line road, off Ngong Road, on Saturday, 24th October from 2pm.

A memorial Service will be held on Wednesday 28th October 2020 at ACK, St Francis Church, Karen starting at 11am.

The body leaves Montezuma funeral Home on Friday 30th October for Osieko Village.

Burial takes place on Saturday 31st October in Osieko starting at 9.30 am.

To be absent in body is to be present in the Lord. Rest In Peace Adrian.

He was son of the late Kaigua Nyamu and the late Elizabeth Kabuiya Kaigua. He was brother to the late Charles Ndungu (Munyu,Thika) the late Muigai Kaigua (Kiserian Ngong) amongst others. He was husband to the late Loise Gathuiya, (Ndeiya Limuru). He was father to Elder Margaret Wambui Wainaina (Kiserian, Ngong), Peter Ngigi (Ndeiya), Mary Wambui Kabucho (Muguga), (Sungura M. Enterprises, Nyamakima), Jane Muthoni Kamiti, Reuben Boro, Charles Ndungu (Ndeiya) and Ann Njeri Kamiti (Head teacher of Bibirioni Primary School). He was father in law to the late Joel Wainaina Ndiki (Kiserian) and Nicholas Kabucho (Sungura M. Enterprises Nairobi), The late Rahab Boro and Elizabeth Gathoni Ndungu.

He was grandfather to Njeri Mugo (Kajiado), John Ndiki Wainaina (Daystar University), Loise Gathuiya Wainaina (Famous Hardware), Sarah Wainaina (KK Security) Francis Kamiti Wainaina (Discount Hardware) Joshua Murimi Kabucho (Strathmore University), Claire Njoki Kabucho, Linet Wanjiku Kabucho (Strathmore University), Loise Gathuiya Njonge (Season paints) Kennedy Kamiti Muthoni, Francis K. Kamiti Ndungu (Franex H/Ware), Kelvin Mukoma Ndungu (Sungura H/Ware), Loise Gathuiya Ndungu, Alex Kuria Chege (Franex Hardware), Francis Kamiti Chege (Emobilis), Loise Gathuiya Boro (Ganda High Sch.), Mercy Wambui Boro (Sunset Services), Margaret Wambui Boro, Francis Kamiti Boro and Mary Nyiha Boro. He was great grandfather to Fenster Nyaguthii, Martin Wakianda Njonge, Jenea Njeri Kuria and Ivy Kahaki, amongst others.

He will be laid to rest at his farm, Limuru Ndeiya, Kiambu County on Tuesday 27th October 2020 from 10.00 am.

He was son to the Late Michael Kabethi and Mary Nyachomba. He was son-in-law to the Late Samuel Muriithi and Late Tabitha Nyakaro. He was husband to Kathleen Wanjiku. Father to Andrew Muriithi, Phillip Mathenge and Ruth Wairimu. He was grandfather to Rebecca Wanjiku and Alexander Wachira. He was a brother to Magdaline Wambui, Joseph Muhoro, Elizabeth Wangu and Anastasia Wanjiku. He was brother-in-law Reuben Ciugu, Agnes Muhoro, Peter Wachira, Eva Wangari, Late Ephantus and Teresia Gitonga, Rachel and Newton Gathungu, Phyllis Gathigia, Late Major Eutychus and Mary Mundia, Patrick and Alice Mwai. He was a friend, uncle and mentor to many.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers at P.C.E.A. St. Andrews Church, Nairobi on Friday 23rd October and Monday 26th October 2020 from 5.00 p.m.

There will be a memorial service on Tuesday 27th October at P.C.E.A. St. Andrews Church, Nairobi from 2.00 p.m.

The cortege departs from Lee Funeral Home at 6.30 a.m. on Wednesday 28th October 2020 for the funeral service and burial at Kirimara Farm, Kirengero, Kabazi Ward, Nakuru County starting from 10.00 a.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral service will be restricted in numbers as per Ministry of Health protocols.
