Father in-law of Mary, Violet, Stanley, Nicholas, Moses, Maxwell, Hillary and Sharon. Grandfather of Kevin, Sharon, Michelle, Arnanda, Tiffany, Leon, Mercy, Kibet, Arnold, Kimberly, Dylan, Steffie, Amiel, Daniella, Lynn, Marion, Chirry, Kemboi, Kipchumba, Nimrod, Chepkemboi and Teddy.

The Burial will be held today Tuesday, 21st April 2020 at his farm, Kaptarkok, Elgeyo Marakwet county from 10am, only family members will attend due to Covid- 19 pandemic regulations.

Doting mother of the  late Ruth Akinyi, Jane Ouya Jomo, the late Paul Ouya, Benter Ouya and Dorothy Ouya. Step Mother of Barack, the late CPA Omollo Ouya, the Sate Dan Ouya, the late Eng. Tom Ouya, Chief Jabungu Ouya, Patrick Lumumba Ouya (Kalausi), Alphonse Ouya (Chief Officer Health Ksm County), Adie, Ambala, Onyango, Kephers (S. A), Marren, Lorna, Akoth, Rose, Irene, Aoko, the late Aguko Omoro and the late Mboga Okoth among many others.

The Private Funeral Service and Burial will be held on Wednesday 22nd April 2020 at homestead of the Late Mzee Absalom Ouya Nyanjong, Kabonyo Nduru Village Kisumu County at 10.00 AM presided over by Church Of Christ In Africa (JOHERA).

The cortege leaves K.U. Mortuary on 25.04.2020 at 6.00am for funeral service and burial at his home in Katuka Orchards, Katse Mumoni Central, Kitui County on the same day.

The funeral will take place at his rural home in Githiga Kiambu on Wednesday 22/04/2020.

Mother of Jane Muthio, Christopher Mutua, Robert Mutisya, Marietta Martin, Margaret Kamene, Aloise Kimeu, Edward Muli and Salome Wanzila. Mother-in-law of Peter Maingi, Pascaline Mwikali, Virginia Ndindi, Martin Nzioki, John Nthale, Elizabeth Mbithe, Pauline Auma and Peter Muia.

She was blessed with 24 Grandchildren namely, Alex, Shanice, Ian, Grace, Kelvin, Marion, Victor, Alvin, Joe among others. Beloved Great Grandmother of Sam, the late Raphael, Brenda, Quinn and Quincy.

The burial will be held on 23rd April 2020 at her home in Katangini village, Matungulu Sub-County, Machakos County.

We regret to announce the death of Senior Superintendent of Prison George Orwa Okumu (Retired) at the age of 61 yrs after a short illness in the USA on the 9th April 2020. He was a former teacher at Nyabisawa Girls High School, Homa Bay Boys High School and Moi Girls Secondary School Nairobi. He also served as an officer at United Nations Peacekeeping Operations in Liberia and Afghanistan.

Beloved son of late Mzee Zakayo Okumu and the late Mama Leonida and Herinia Okumu of Kanyamwa South, Homabay County. Beloved Husband of Mary Chelang’at Okumu. Son-in-law of late Stephen Chelimo and Mama Annah C. Stephen of Cheranganyi. Father of Dr. Nida Akinyi Okumu-Ndemo, Captain Melvin Zackayo Okumu and Fiona Achaye Okumu. Brother of the late ClIr Joshua Ogola Okumu, James Okumu, Nelly, Joseph, Ben and Shem. Brother-in-law of Margaret, Beatrice, among others.
