Charity Kanyiri M’Alaine (Tabuo)

1939 – 2024

It with deep sorrow and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charity Kanyiri M’Alaine (Tabuo) which occurred on 1st May 2024.

She was wife of M’Alaine Likaunye.

Sister of M’Tharamba M’Ithibua, Theura M’Ithibua, Niati M’Ithibua, Chieburi and the late Nambui M’Mamira.

Loving mother of Anastacia Kamwali, Japheth Baithalu (EACC), Festus Kubai, Francis Kiringori (Teacher, Lubuathirua Primary), the late Morris Mutabari, Julius Muchena and Pius Kariyo.

She was the step-mother of Kabini Rukunga, Kathiong’ore Alimondo, the late Ambrose Lukundi, Josphat Kiowa (Retired Police Officer), Samuel Mwengecha, Charles Maithima (Retired Police Officer), and Liilu Kaniu.

Mother-in-law of the late Tabitha Nkatha, Beatrice Nkatha, Njoki Lukundi, Mutune Mwengecha, Margaret Maithima, Jane Kathuri Baithalu, Mukiri Kubai, Leticia Kiringuri and Irene Kariyo.

She was devoted grandmother of 70 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Akaiya Village and Labaita Lounge Upper Hill.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, 10th May 2024 at 11:00 a.m.at her home in Akaiya followed by the burial at the same place
