Josephat Nyarangi Motende

It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Josephat Nyarangi Motende formerly Deputy Director Human Resource Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA) after a short illness bravery borne.

He was son of the late Caleb Motende and Martha Motende of Ibacho, Mwamonda village Nyaribari Masaba. Step son of Truphena Nyanduko and Jerusha Nyaboke.

Husband of Irene Nyakerario Nyarangi of Safaricom Eldoret.

Father of Joyllette Nyarangi (Strathmore University), Martha Gesare (Segero Secondary School) and Alvin Motende (Maseno School).

Brother of the late Evans and Jerry Motende, Jerusha, Jane, Elijah Motende Canada, Beatrice, Gladys, Fred, Robert, Dr William Motende, Juliet, Kefa, Jackson, Nyanchama among others.

Son in law of the late Elizaphan Mokua and the late Florence Nyaboke.

Brother In-law of the late Joyce Kemuma, Richard Ogoti, the late Samson Ongeri, Eunice, Kefa, Newton, Norah, Zippy, lrene and Dr Loise Nyaega.

Nephew of late Mokomba, Nyaboke, the late Kerubo, Ntabo and Samuel Getenga. Machogu, Teresia, Abel, James, Romano, Kerubo among others.

Cousin of Zablon, Jenes, Nyabuto, Rispah, Yunifrida, Peter, Moranga, Mogaka, Eric, josephat, Mobisa Ngige, Simeon, Valentine among others.

Uncle of Dr Edwin Masara, Deborah, Harriet, Kim, Clyde, Bwari, Nyamisa, Caleb, Carl, Alvin, Moraa, Gesares, Barongos among others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Eldoret Kimumu and in Nairobi at Sagret hotel and at Dr Motende’s residence.

There will be a funeral service on Wednesday 8″ of May 2024 in Eldoret at Kimumu Primary School from 9.00am.

Burial will take place on 10th of May 2024 at his rural home in Ibacho, Mwamonda village Kisii County from 10.00am – 3.00pm.
