Charles Wambugu Kimunya

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we wish to announce the demise of Charles Wambugu Kimunya, which occurred at Mwai Kibaki Hospital Othaya on 5th June 2025.

Son of the late Kimunya Wachira, the late Warukira Kimunya and the late Waturi Kimunya. Brother of Njeri Karihia, Simon Nderitu, the late Suleiman Kibue, Paul Kagiri, the late Erastus Gitonga, and the late Samson Ndungu. Step-brother of Wairimu, Wachira, Wambui, Wanjiku, Mumbi, Wairagu, Kibui, Wanjiru, Wanjira, Wanjohi and Gitonga.

Loving husband of Grace Wangui. Father-of Amos Kimunya, Peter Nderi, Isaac Wachira, Shelmith Wambui, Martin Mwangi. Father-in-law of Elizabeth, Sabina and Purity. Grandfather of Wangui, Kimochu, Njeri, Erick, Muthoni, Mercy, Melvin, Thuku, Precious and Wisdom. He was a cousin, uncle, brother-in-law and friend to many others.

The cortege leaves Mwai Kibaki Funeral Home Othaya on Friday 13th June 2025 at 8.00am. Funeral and prayers at his rural home (Miugu Village) Nyeri on the same day.
