Chris Mugo Waweru

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Chris Mugo Waweru, that occurred on Friday, 15th August 2025 after a short illness. Until his demise, he was a Rtd. Chief Principal Internal Auditor at Ministry of Finance and a devoted Patron at ACK Kamwangi Church.

Son of the late Ibrahim Waweru and Mary Wanjiku Waweru. Son-in-law of Joyce Kibui Kamau.

Husband of Jeniffer Njeri Mugo. Father of Nicholus Waweru (Namimbia), Alfred Mwangi, Joseph Wanyoike (USA), Winnie Wanjiku, Anderson Njoroge, Brian Wambugu, Dan Kamau, Joyce Wambui, Evelyn Waithera, Maureen Gachiku.

Grandfather of Shirleen, Emmanuel, Denzel, Sumaya, Jayden, Andrew Wanyoike, Alpha Gabla, Daniel Gabla, Leakey, Twinkle, Jonel, Dezarie, Valerie, Vae, Elias and Eliana.

Brother of the late Rebecca Wambui, the late John Wanyoike, the late Grace Muchiku, Esbon Wambugu, Florence Jane Mwihaki, Deborah Wangui and Joyce Muthoni. Step-brother of Joel Wanyoike, David Mberire, Florence Muchiku, Ezbon Kibutu, Robinson Mwangi and Mary Njoki. He was uncle and cousin of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Kamwangi, Kariguini Kenol in Murang’a County starting at 6.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home – Kabati tomorrow Tuesday, 26th August 2025 at 8.00am, followed by a funeral service at ACK Kariguini Church at 11.00am. Thereafter, interment at his home in Gitura Ka Wa Mwangi.
