It is with great and profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the death of Mr. Christopher Ayagah Momanyi on the 8th July 2025 from Bombaba, Igembe, Kenyenya Sub-County, Kisii County. Formerly of Ministry of Public Works and Under Secretary of Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.
Husband of Alice Mokeira Ayaga.
Beloved son of the late Zacharia Momanyi Nyamwega and the late Sabina Nyakerario Momanyi. Brother of the late Thomas Nyamwega, Francis Mogute, the late Martha Osiemo, Samuel Ondara, Peter Nyakerario,Teresa Ongocho, the late Charles Machuka and Jacinta Maroko.
Son-in-law of the late Samwel Omae Irobiro and the late Sarah Kwamboka Omae – Sigara.
Father of the late Elizabeth Kemunto,the late Irene Kemunto, Isabella Nyanchoka (Ministry of Health), Hellen Nyang’ara, Robert Momanyi (KETRACO) and Simon Nyamwega.
Grandfather of Maxwell Machuka, Raphaella Nyakerario, Bridgit Bonareri, Natalia Kemunto, Matthew Ayaga, Emmanuel Nyamwega, Sabina Kerubo, Alice Nyakerario, Herbert Ayaga, Thomas Ayagah, Yara Kemunto, and Gabriella Bonareri.

He was a friend to many.
Friends and Relatives are meeting daily for prayers at his residence in Kibiku B, Lemiso Road in Ngong.
Requiem Mass will be held at St Joseph’s Cathedral, Ngong on 24th July 2025. He will be laid to rest on the 25th of July 2025 at his Kibiku residence in Ngong.
