Col. (Rtd) Stephen Kanguru Githinji, MBS
We regret to announce the passing of Col (Rtd) Stephen Kanguru Githinjy MBS, formerly of the Kenya Air Force and Magnate Ventures, on 5th July 2021.
He was a devoted son to the Late John Kanguru Githinji and Elisheba Waniiru Kanguru, loving husband to Lucy Muthoni Githinji, and adoring father to Ciru, Ciku, Wamaitha, and Kanguru. Father-in-love to Kelly, Taisto, and Joan. Doting grandfather to Big Kris, Lisa, Small Kris, and Kalvin. Loving Big Brother to Jean, Kiragu, Grace, Kimari, Esther (the late), Lucy, Mwangi, and Kigondu.
Special to his in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, work colleagues, and neighbors. He was specially adored by Spot the family dog
We will all miss him dearly.
The memorial service to eulogize our beloved Githinji will be held on Tuesday 13th July 2021 at the All Saints Cathedral Nairobi at 11.00arn.
The cortege will leave St Teresa Funeral Home Kikuyu on Wednesday 14th July 2021 at 9.00am. He will be laid to rest at his family home in Muguga from 11.00 am.
It is, with utmost shock, that I learn of the demise of Col Githinji; an Officer and a gentleman per excellence. As Gen MacArthur averred “Officers never die, they just fade away” Great deeds of Steve will motivate,live and cascade in memory of many forever.
