It is with profound sorrow that we announce the demise of Mr. Thairu Machua, formerly of Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A., on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, after a long illness,
Thairu is the son of the late Machua wa Muchugia, and the late Ruth Waithira wa Machua of Mutu-ini, Dagoretti, Nairobi. He is the former husband of the late Alice G. K. Machua of Syracuse, New York, U.S.A.; father of Joan Waithira, Waithira Machua-Thaira of U.S.A.,Wanjiru Machua-Thaira (U.S.A.), and Bura K. Muriithi.
He is the brother of the late Virginia Wanjiru Kimachia of Muthiga, Kikuyu, the late Grace Nyariri Maya of Mate-ini, Dagoretti, the late Eliud Mbugua wa Machua of Sigona, Kikuyu, the late Munene wa Machua of Siron Scheme, Laikipia County, and the late Samuel Mbote wa Machua of Mutu-ini.
The cortege will depart the PCEA Kikuyu Mortuary at 10 AM for a graveside funeral service and internment at the PCEA Kikuyu Cemetery, near the Alliance Girls High School, on Wednesday, July 14, 2021.

I am deeply saddened to learn about the loss of your beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend the late Mr. Machua.
I would like to share a message of comfort that assures you of the Bible promise that you will be reunited with your loved one. The Bible often compares death to deep sleep, Jesus Christ said at John 11:11: “Lazarus our friend has fallen asleep.” It is comforting to know that Jesus Christ will awaken your dead loved one from this sleep as he promised at John 5:28 and 29: “Don’t marvel at this for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come out.”
