It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the Kabui family announce the demise of Councillor Emeritus Peter Mwangi Kabui (Tashi) of Tuthu Village, Rwathia Location, Kangema Sub-county, Muranga County. Formerly of Keni Office Supplies, Kihoto Investments and Founding Chairman of BATCOM (Kenya) PLC.

Son of the late Kabui wa Noru and the late Wanjiku wa Michuki. Brother of the late VVanjiku, the late Wairimu and the late Michuki.

Husband of Ruth Nyambura Mwangi. Father of Juliet Wanjiku Kabul, Grace Wambui Kabui, Ben Njuguna Kabui, David & Lucy Ndichu and Joyce Nyokabi Kabul.

He was a much loved Brother in-law of the late Benson & the late Lorna Mbatia, Beatrice Wairimu, Stanley & Damaris Makena, Daniel Mugetha Gateru, the late Jane Wangari Mutiso, John & Esther Thaiya, Nancy Wanjiru Gateru and Julius & Esther Karogo. Cousin and uncle of many.

Grandfather of Renee, Faizah and Mshindi, and great grandfather of Ness.

The body is lying at Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home (Kahawa West). Family and Friends are meeting for funeral arrangements every evening from 6.00PM at Holy Family Basilica and his Madaraka home.

Requiem Mass will be at Holy Family Basilica on Monday 19th January 2026 from 2:00PM.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home (Kahawa West.) on Wednesday 21st January 2026 at 7:00AM for a funeral mass at Tuthu Catholic Mission Church from 10:00AM with burial taking place the same day at his Tuthu home, Kangema.
