Damaris Gathoni Ngunjiri

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Damaris Gathoni Ngunjiri after a short illness.

Daughter of the late Samuel Wambugu and late Rahel Njeri, step daughter of the late Ruth Wairimu Wambugu.

She was beloved wife of the late Elijah Ngahu Ngunjiri. Cherished mother of Ruth Nduta & Cedric Kimaru; Stephen Ngunjiri. Pauline Njeri & James Kimenjo Lucido; Caroline Wanjiru & David Kanja Christie; Samuel Wambugu & Angela Wanjiku Ngunjiri, and her adopted children – The Kiboi’s.

Doting grandmother of Aaron Muchiri, Aiden Ngunjiri, Jonathan Ngahu. Joshua Maingl, Karen Njeri and Samuel Joe Ngahu.

Adored sister of Boise & Shaaban Ngojangoja; Phyllis & Peter Weru; Nancy & John Kahiu; Mary & late Stevenson Ngari; Naomi & Joseph Mathenge; late Elder Daniel & Lucy Thige; Doris & John Ndin’guri. Step-sister of David Ndiritu, Charles Mwangi, late Muhunyo: late Mwaniki, late Elder Francis Ndegvva„ late Gathoni, late Wambui, late Wanjiru, late Susan.

She was daughter-in-law of the late Stephen Ngunjiri and late Ruth Nduta. Sister-in-law of Caroline Mwaniki, late Charles Mucue, Catherine Ngugi, Mary Kiura, late Winfred Muchoki, Joseph Ngunjiri, Elizabeth Thananga, Jonah Ngunjiri, Zipporah Ngunjiri.

Daily funeral prayer meetings are being held at PCEA Nairobi West. Chu; ch from 5.30pm. A memorial service will be on Wednesday, 13th August 2025 at. PCEA Nairobi West Church from 2:00pm.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home (Mbagathi Way) on Friday 1Sth August, 2025 at 06:00arn for the funeral service and interment at her farm in Burguret, (next to Aberdare Prestige & Royal Cottages, Nanyuki) at 10:30am.
