25th Death Anniversary

Papa, Dr D.M Wako, twenty-five years ago on Easter Friday 5th April 1996 when you went to be with the Lord it seemed our world as a family would not survive.

We sorrowed, grieved, and were distressed. However, we have been able to survive as a family because you had trained, mentored, and brought us up as a family in Christian beliefs and traditions which gave each of us a strong foundation to withstand and overcome any challenges whenever they occurred in our Iives. You had emphasized to us that whatever the appearances, God is in control and that we should have total faith and complete trust that God will provide the necessary guidance. Quoting Hebrews 11:6 “…. God is and..is a rewarder to them that diligently seek him” Indeed God has rewarded each one of us but in all these you taught us to remain humble.

Mama Alice Amwomo remained the pillar and matriarch of the family until she joined you on 30th October 2013. She continued where you left us and reminded us at any opportunity at the usefulness of prayer in our lives. Since she left us each one of us has put to practice what both of you taught us thereby fulfilling what is stated in Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it”.

Papa and Mama as you rest in peace in God’s paradise, know that you are and will always be loved and appreciated by family members Amos & Flora, Lavern & Ken, Charles & Alice, Norah & Albert, Elizabeth & Ezekiel, Adam & Jane, Florence & Cherif, Lester & Gladys, their children, and grandchildren, the Wasikhongo and extended families. Your light still shines and gives hope and encouragement to many.
