Dr. Esther Nyambura Mwangi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing on of our beloved Dr. Esther Nyambura Mwangi who worked with Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR).

Daughter of the late Joseph Mwangi and Alice Ndunge Mwangi. Sister of Lizzie Musyimi, Lucy Anunda, the late Grace Msyoki, Lydia Macharia, Rev. Furaha, Jael Mwangi, Stephen Mwangi, John Mwangi, Dr. Christina Mwangi, Ngengi Mwangi and Daniel Mwangi. Sister-in-law of the late Frederick Ngandi Musyimi, the late Peter Anunda, Dr. James J. Msyoki, the late Joseph Macharia, Jane Mwangi, Catherine Mwangi, Elizabeth Mwangi and Hellen Mwangi. An Aunty and Great Aunty of many.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers at St Andrew’s Church, Lecture Room 3 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm and daily at her residence, House No. 40, Fivestar Meadows, Kiambu Road.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday 15th October, 12 noon at St. Veronica’s Church South B.

The cortege will leave Aga Khan Hospital at 7:00am on Wednesday 16th October for an 11:00am service at St. Phillips Ndiriti, Kirinyaga and thereafter, Esther will be laid to rest at her parents’ Kiangobe home.
