Dr. George Samuel Obonyo Odhiambo

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Dr. George Samuel Odhiambo Obonyo of University of Nairobi, who passed away on Wednesday 16th October, 2019 after a short illness.

Son of the Late Gad and Adah A. Obonyo of Gem Kanyiboup Pap. Husband of Lilyan A. Odhiambo (KRA). Father of Hawi, Meda and Roma Odhiambo. Son-in-Law of John Paul Okuku & the Late Perez Ongewe of Alego Komenya, Brother to Benjamin Obita (Safaricom), the Late Zack Oluoch, Late Beatrice Auma, Esther Munialo, Ahosi K’Obonyo, Grace Otanga, Selina Masira (Zimbabwe), Norah Obonyo (UAE), Paul Mogalo, Dorcas Nurie Rarieya, Joan Ouko, Godfrey Omondi, Dorcas Knight, Amos Okello, Bilya Akinyi, Caren Atieno, Ochieng & Eric Otieno among others.

Friends & Relatives are meeting for Prayers & Burial arrangements at his residence in Langata, Sun Valley Estate Phase I house no.7 everyday starting 5.30p.m.

The main Harambee is on 23rd October 2019 at All Saints Cathedral Church at 5.30pm. Followed by a mini harambee in his residence the same day at Sun Valley phase I House No. 7. starting 4.00p.m. Mpesa Paybill No.180725 A/C George Odhiambo Obonyo.

The cortege will leave Chiromo Mortuary on 24th October, 2019 for a Service at Heritage Baptist Church Langata before the night vigil at his Residence and procession to Kisumu will start at 7.00a.m. on Friday 25th October, 2019 thereafter he will be laid to rest at his home in Kapuonja Sub Location, Sinyolo, Location Kisumu Town West on 26th October, 2019.
