Dr. Joan Wanjugu Githaiga

Sunrise: 28.05.1981 — Sunset: 20.11.2025 It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Dr. Joan Wanjugu Githaiga on 20th November 2025 in Maryland, USA.

Joan was the beloved daughter of the late James Githaiga and Joyce Maiki Githaiga.

She was a devoted mother of Eli Githaiga Macharia, and a cherished sister of Julie Nyakinyua Githaiga and Beatrice Tunu Yeri. She was a beloved niece, cousin, auntie, and friend to many.

A funeral service followed by the final rites will be held on Thursday, 186 December 2025, from 10:00 am at the Francis J. Collins Funeral Home in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Joan was a gentle soul, kind-hearted and deeply loved. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
