Edith Haki Wambugu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Edith Haki Wambugu, who went to be with the Lord on 18th November 2025 after a short illness at Avenue Hospital.

Beloved wife of Paul Muhoro.

Daughter of Charles Wambugu and Anne Wairimu of Naivasha.

Loving mother of Peter Wambugu of Karuri High School and Jasmine Wairimu of Castle Academy.

Cherished granddaughter of David Njau (DN) Wambugu of Runda (Potychem East Africa), Mrs. Edith Haki of Thika and Mrs. Teresia Wakarera of Matuguta.

Sister of Antony Wakarera W. and Joyce Njeri of Nanyuki, and Brenda Wanjiru W.

Auntie of Leon Wambugu. Daughter-in-law of Hannah Wairimu of Irikia.

Sister-in-law of Rev. Stephen Njoroge (Soul Winner Church) and John Ngigii of Kabete High School.

Edith was an adored niece of John Gathuri Wakarera, Jennifer Wango, Joyce, and Gerald of Wambugu Thika; Peter Thuo of Mombasa; Mark Wambugu, Sam Muita, and Christine Wanjiru of Runda; Leonard Mbugua (Stereo), Ken Wakarera, and Ben Mbugua of Banana Hill; and the entire Njihia family Peter Muchai, Hannah Njagi, Rev. Maggie, Bishop Charles (Mamlaka), Isaac, Eunice, Ruth (Immigration Department), Paul, and Sam. Edith was a beloved cousin and friend to many.

The funeral service and burial will be held on 5th December 2025 at Matuguta Primary School, Githiga Village, Githunguri Sub-County.
