Edward Netto Mwakima
It is with profound sadness but humble acceptance to God’s will we announce the promotion to glory of Edward Netto Mwakima (Uchumi Supermarkets Ltd) on 25th of January 2021.
Son of the late Meshack Mngonda and the late Janet Warighe Mng’onda of Dembwa, Taita Taveta. Husband to Josephine M. Mwakima (Labour/Sports/TVET) and Jacqueline Basiye-Mwakima (Ustawi Grain Millers Limited). Father to Janet Warighe, Ruth Moige, Rose Bibi, Abigael Monyo, Meshack Mng’onda, Shawn Basiye and ShannaWarighe. He was a brother to Peter Kichinda, the late Jared Jumbe, Jackson Mwambela, Getrude Mwachofi, Julia Mwashuma, Rachel Mjomba, the late Naha! Kimori and the late Dalton Mwalekwa. Son in law to Andrew Maina and the late Martha G. Maim; Evans Basiye and the late Elishebah Basiye. Brother-in-law to The Mainas and The Basiyes. He was an uncle, cousin, friend and mentor to many.
The body is currently lying at Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home. Family and friends are having daily meetings at Garden Square, Nairobi for preparations. Signing of the condolence book can be done at the family homes in Langata and Real Estate South C.
There will be a funeral service at ICC Church Mombasa Road on Thursday 4th February 2021 at 1000am.
Burial will be at his ancestral home in Dembwa, Mwatate constituency, Taita Taveta County on Saturday 6th February 2021.

I have carried you in my heart with a lot of heaviness and in denial all these time making it difficult for me to start the healing process. Darling, I still love you todate even in your absence, I have accepted the fact that you are gone forever and good,never will you come back. Today I realise you to continue resting in eternal peace until the day we meet at Jesus feet.
