Edward Wanee Muchiri

It is with deep sorrow and total acceptance to the will of God that we announce the passing on of Edward Wanee Muchiri on 13th August, 2019 at the War Memorial Hospital, Nakuru. Until his death, he was a senior Lecturer at The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Egerton University, Njoro.

Son of the late Erustus Muchiri Githaiga and the late Salome Muthoni Muchiri of Rumwe Farm, Njoro. Husband of Rachel Njambi Wanee. Father of Sally Muthoni, the late Kathy Mwihaki, Erustus Muchiri and Samuel Kamau. Brother of Duncan and Dorcas Githaiga, David and Jayne Mutiga, Samson and Pauline Theuri, Benson and Lydia Wambugu, Reuben and Faith Macharia, Joseph and Jane Ndirangu and Peter and Winnie Kariuki.

Son-in-law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Kamau. Brother-in-law of Ann Njeri, Joyce Wambui, the late Daniel Kinyajui, Loise Wanjiru, the late Mary Njango, Elizabeth Njeri and Eunice Mumbi. An uncle and friend to many.

Prayer meetings are taking place at his residence in Njoro from August 14th – 19th daily at 5.00pm – 7.00pm.

The cortege leaves War Memorial Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday August 20th, 2019 at 8.00am for the funeral service at The PCEA Church, Njoro at 10.00am and hereafter, burial at the Family Home in Rumwe, Njoro.
