It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the sudden and untimely death of Edwin Wachira Gichure (Wachira Joe) on Monday 27th February, 2023.

Beloved son to the late Joshua Gichure Wachira and the late Esther Wangui Mwai. Brother to Rose Nyaguthii, the late Martin Mwai and Anne Wahu.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary Wangui Kamau. Father of Joe Gichure and Kelsie (Esther) Wangui.

Doting uncle to Aimar Nyawira Kana, among others.

Son-in-law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Taracisio Kamau.

Nephew and cousin to many.

Family and friends are meeting at their family home in Kanyange, Othaya between 4.00pm and Silent Lodge – Othaya from 6pm, for funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Mwai Kibaki Farewell Home – Othaya on Monday 6th March, 2023 at 9.30am for the funeral service at ACK St. James Church – Kanyange, Othaya, Nyeri County from 10.00am followed by interment thereafter at their family home in Kiahiti Village, Kanyange, Othaya (near the late Hon. Mwai Kibaki’s residence).
