It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Elder Johnson Wachira Gicheru of Giakaibei, Gathehu Location, Nyeri County.

Son of the late Gicheru Magondu and late Nyakio Gicheru.

Loving husband of Mary Gathigia. Father of Peter and Charity Gicheru, Lucy and late Shawn, Faith and John Wanjohi, Late Paul Magondu,Ann and Dr. Herbel Gitogo, Isaac and Juliet King’athia.

Brother of the late Peris Gathigia, Andrew Magondu, the late George Gikandi, Charles Warutere, the late Lawrence Njogu, Purity Wanjiku, Samuel Kagotho and Jackson Ngaragari.

Son in-Law of Faith Kabia Wanjau. Brother in-Law the late Wamuyu, the late King’athia, the late Wachira, Ngure and Wanjiku Kariuki.

Grandfather to Esabel, Alex, Solo, James, Late Ian, Christine, Reuben, Charles, Christian, Ethan, Andrew and Hagan Gicheru. Great Grandfather to Sam Morara.

Family and friends are meeting daily from 4:00pm at his home for prayers.

The cortege leaves Jamii Nursing Hospital Karatina on Wednesday the 3rd April 2024 at 8:00am for the funeral service at PCEA Gathehu Church from 10:00am and thereafter he will be laid o rest at his home.
