It’s with great sorrow and acceptance of God’s wish that we announce the death of Elijah John Mwangi Kinyanjui which occurred on 10th June 2019 after a brave battle with cancer.

Son of the late, Bedan Kinyanjui, Miriam Njeri, Damaris Wangui and Esther Gathoni. Beloved husband of Lydia Wanjiru. Father of Lee and Paulyn Kinyanjui (UK), Eva Njeri and Tony Kariuki (UK),Vera Wambui and Alex Mungai (Tigoni). Son-in-law of Monica Wambui and the late Kamau Wa Mbica (Maragua). Brother of Geoffrey Waruii, Francis Njoroge (Moto), Peter Njoroge, Karanja Kinyanjui (Kisumu), Dr. Karanja Kinyanjui (Thika), Hellen Waithira, Mary Muthoni, Esther Wanjiku, Rachael Wanjiru, Joyce Kabura, Lydia Njoki. Brother-in-law of Lucy Wangui, Bob Karina (Faida Securities), Grace Wanja, Mwangi Karina, Muthoni Munene among others. Grandfather of Zoe Kinyanjui,:-, Sophie Kinyanjui, Zara Kariuki, Ian Kariuki, Ella Kariuki, Maya Kariuki, Nyokabi Mungai, Rurii Mungai, Mwangi Mungai, Kanjabi Mungai among others. Uncle of Peter Kinyanjui, Bedan Kinyanjui, Capt. Victor Ngunjiri, Dr. Freshia Waweru,Tony Kinyanjui,Tabby, Mwangi Mwaura, Jane Mwaura among others.

Family and Friends are meeting daily at his home in Kiambu at 4.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves the Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Wednesday 19th June 2019 at 8.00am, for a Funeral service and Burial at the Family’s Memorial Gardens at Mbugiti Village, Kariara Location, Gatanga, Muranga County.
