The family of the late Eng. Jared Wangia and the late Dr. Christine Wangia would like to express our gratitude to God for the life He gave Eng. Jared and Dr. Christine.
We also express our immense gratitude for the prayers, condolence messages, physical presence, emotional and financial support received from groups & institutions during their sickness and demise in August 2022. Foremost we are grateful to doctors and staff at the University of Washington Matasyo School that attended to the couple during their sickness.
Our gratitude goes specifically to Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), that walked with Dr. Christine during her sickness & funeral. Special thanks to the staff and students of the JKUAT School of Pharmacy for the overwhelming support. We similarly appreciate the Cabinet Secretary and staff of the Ministry of Health Headquarters, Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya, Kenya Women Pharmacists Association, Friends Chemists, Chebu Pharmaceutical, Microsoft – ADC and Daystar University for their immense roles.
The family is greatly indebted to the entire Friends Church (Quakers) right from the local level to the International organs for participating in the funeral and burial services. We are thankful to the Friends Churches in Juja, Ruiru, Mumias & Chebuyusi that conducted the funeral services. Further we are thankful for the full participation of Friends United Meeting International, FUM Africa Ministries, FWCC, Friends Theological College Kaimosi, and the Yearly Meetings of Kakamega, Musingu, Malava and Chebuyusi. We are grateful to CITAM Nairobi, Chebuyusi Muslim and many other denominations that comforted us. We are immensely grateful to H.E.Wycliffe Oparanya and staff of the County Government of Kakamega for their support and presence.We thank H.E. Fernandes Barasa for his support amidst the busy campaign schedule.We also thank Hon Wangwe MP for his presence during the mourning.We are also grateful to all local administrators in Bunyala as well as chiefs from Matayos and Mayoni.
We appreciate the support from many friends from various locations, with a special mention of Mayfair Rubies, UON Medical School Class of 2006, F.H.E.M, the PTA of Nova Pioneer Tatu Girls, and all visitors whom we are not able to mention each one by name.
Finally, we would like to thank the greater Waudo and A umba families, the Batecho and Abamarama clans for standing with us during the time of need.
There will be a prayer Service at Jared’s Chebuyusi home on Saturday, 8 October 2022 at 11.00am.
