Erastus Wanjala Masinde

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the management and staff of National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) announce the demise of Erastus Wanjala Masinde of NHIF Headquarters which occurred on 26th June 2019 at Nairobi Hospital, after short illness.

Son of John Sifunjo Masinde retired (NSIS) Officer and Catherine Nasambu Masinde Retired Nurse Ministry of Health. Beloved husband of Maginerro Nyandimo of Kenyacta National Hospital (KNH), loving father of the late Deon Isunji Masinde, Randy Malilo, Raphael Otunga and Sandra Chebet. Brother of Maureen Masinde of Lokichogio, Mwangale Masinde (Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry {KNCCI)), Robert Kerre Masinde OKA), Geoffrey Masibo Masinde, Enos Wekesa Masinde, Deo Wafula Masinde, Rodgers Masinde of Africare Mendata, Zipporah Masinde and Michelle Nandako. Son-in-law of Odindi Osowo and Christine Auma. In-law of Joseph, Eunice, Husna, Sybil, Bravin, Brenda, Bradley, Brayce, Tonny, Nimrod, Bruce, Richard, Pendo, Rylan and Paul among many others. Nephew of the late Martin Namachanja, Joseph Makokha, among others. Cousin and Nephew of Kituyis, Wamunyinyis, Namachanjas, among many others. Grandson of the late Esau Masinde Sifunjo, Zipporah Mukhwana Mwangale, John Malilo and Agnes Namaemba Malilo.

Family and friends are meeting daily from 5.00pm at Foyer Hotel NHIF ground floor from 1st -10th July, 2019. There will be a major fundraiser on Tuesday 9th July 2019 at Foyer Hotel, NHIF Building ground floor starting at 5.30pm. Funeral contributions can be sent by Mpesa to Pay Bill Number: 715170.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Thursday 11th July 2019 for church service at Don Bosco from 10.00am in Nairobi and thereafter proceed to Bungoma Kimwanga parish for a church service.

Funeral service will be held at Masinde’s family home in Masielo village, Napara location, Bumula Constituency Bungoma County, on 13th July 2019 at 10:00am and thereafter burial at the same place.
