Ernest Tom Nyandwaro Oyieko

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mr. Ernest (Tom) Nyandwaro Oyieko, a staff of Kisii University, which occurred on 21 st May, 2025, resulting from a fatal car accident near Nyakoe Market whereupon he passed away on the spot.

Son of the late Fidelis Oyieko and Mama Lucia Kemuma Oyieko. Son-in-law of the Late Simeon Sesera and Mama Rozalia Musanga.

Husband of Constance Bibyanne Sesera Nyandwaro (Kisii County Government). Beloved father of Damian Orina Nyandwaro (JKUAT BBIT) and Shelmith Kemunto Nyandwaro (KU B.Arch).

Brother of Dismas, the late Alice, Penina, Florence, Christopher, Mary, Sr. Margaret, Jackline, Rose, the late Jared.

Brother-in-law of the late Grace, Rebecca, Caren, Naom, Damaris, Regnald, Franco, Sr. Maria Goretti (Principal St.Angela Sengera Girls), Phelicity, Carol, Ivaline and Modest.

The Body leaves Christamarianne funeral home on Thursday 12th June, 2025 at 12.30 p.m. for a brief requiem mass at the Kisii University Amphitheatre and thereafter the main requiem mass at St.Augustine Nyansakia 2 Catholic Church at 3.30 p.m.

Burial will be held on Friday, 13th June, 2025 at his home – Nyansakia 2 Village, Gucha Sub- County, Kisii County along Omoringamu-Sengera road, off the main Kisii-Kilgoris road.
