1948 – 2025

It is with humble acceptance and God’s will that we announce the death of Esther Kemunto Okeng’o.

Daughter of the late Isaboke Mokano and the late Priscilla Motugutwa Menga Isaboke.

Wife of David Okengo Nyatome. Loving mother of Jobic, Janet, Moraa, (Principal Nyakenimo Mixed Secondary School), Fred Getonto, Leah, Judy, George Nyatta and Patrobe Nyatome. She is survived by 15 grandchildren; Geraldine, Nyaata, Leslie, the late Amy, Stacy Nicole, Precious, Amelia Levi, Emmanuel John Wycliff and lan.

Sister of Christopher Isaboke, Zablon Araka, the late Mary Kwamboka, Kenas Nyagaka, Musa Morara and Grace Moraa.

Sister-in-law of the late John Wycliff Nyatome and Amelia, the late Abigail, Henry Nyangeri, Caroline (USA), Francis Ongegu and Jane (USA), Abigail Nyasuguta, Paul Ouko (USA), Samuel Nyatome and Callen (NBI), the late Meshack Nyarnbane, Mary Mwikali, the late Charles Onyambu, Kefa and Priscilla Onsare, Ruth Moraa and Betty Baswet.

Niece of the late Nyarugurugu, Samuel Kerecha, Nyamwega Mokano, Kengaya Mokano, the late Saboigo, Marita and Nyoero, Bathsheba Nyamondo.

In-law of William Nyatome, Nyamari Nyatome, Hezron Onsembe, Jackson Gichamba, Onsembe. Cousin of the late Pero Nyaruguru, all Kemuntos Onsare, Billiah Nyaundi, Gesare, Daudi, Sarange Peris, Druscilla, Ezekiel Nyabuto Mach Majuma Nyaruguru, Kennedy Nyaruguru, Gichemba Ongega, Ousembe, the Bonga, the Osoros and the Nyamaris.

Aunt of Judy Delilah, Moraa Margaret, Ndubi, Leah Nyamari, Akaline, Steve, Sammy, Michelle Sidney, Patroba, Rodgers, Meshack, Leah, Milka, Michelle, Judy, the late Oyaro, Linet and Jane Peris.

The funeral service will be held at Timiza Academy. The cortege will leave KTRH Kisii today Friday 13th June 2025 at 1.00pm. She will buried on Sunday 15th June 2025 at Riabosibori Village Nyamware sub-location, Nyaribari Keumbu Location, Nyaribari Chache Kisii County.
