Eunice Wangare Ngugi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved Mum Eunice Wangare Ngugi on 28th December, 2021 at St Luke’s Hospital Eldoret after a long illness bravely borne.

She was the wife of the late Mzee Ngugi Gitonga, co-wife to Margaret Wanjiru and Mary Waithera. Mother to the late James Gitonga, the late John Waithaka, Joyce Muchiri, Wangechi Macharia, Josephine Mumbi and Samuel Wagoro. Step-mother to Grace Wangare, Jackline Ngina, Milka Mumbi, Paul Gitonga, Lucy Wangare, Grace Wamaitha, Mercy Mumbi and Esther Wambui.

Mother-in-law to the late Jane Wamaitha Gitonga, Stephen Muchiri, Henry Macharia, Edwin Wang’ombe, William Chumba, Mwangi Kuria, and Betty Gacheri.

Sister to the late Dorcas Wanjiru, the late Samuel Wagoro and the late Rebecca Muringe. Sister-in-law to the late Mumbi Karuga, the late Kabera Gitonga, the late Mahindi Gitonga, the late Githinji Gitonga and the late Chege Gitonga.

Grandmother of Leon, Muchiri, Eunice (USA) Mwangi, Collins among others. She was also a friend, an aunty and a great-grandmother to many.

Family and friends are meeting at her residence, Pioneer Estate Eldoret, everyday from 5:00pm.

The cortege will leave Eldoret Hospital Mortuary at 8:00am for a Church and funeral service at Kamukunji Cemetery, Eldoret starting from 10:00a.m. on Tuesday 4th January, 2021.
