Ezekiel Mirieri Obegi

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr. Ezekiel Mirieri Obegi, Chief Manager, Large & Medium Taxpayers Department, Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) on 29th November 2025 at Aga Khan University Hospital, after a short illness.

Beloved husband of Wambui Mirieri. Loving father of Xena Bosibori, Yan Obegi, Zara Kerubo, and Aida Kwamboka.

Son of Hezron Vigo and Emelda Kerubo. Son in law of Junghae Wainaina and Hannah Wanjiku.

Brother of Jane Kemuma, John Nyanchage, the late Mark Ombui, the late Iren Nyansarora Ruth Bochere, and Eunice Moraa.

Brother in law of Eric Antony Denis Areba Caroline Wafula, Dr. Muthoni Junghae, Wangongu Ndichu Wainaina Junghae and Carolyn Wainaina. Uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

There will be a fundraising on Tuesday 9th December from 5.00pm to 8.00pm at All Saints Cathedral (Paybill 8023954 Account – Your Name).

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, from 12 noon at Laiser Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church, Ongata Rongai.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Oginga Odinga Way on 11th December 2025 for burial at his home in Bomosambi Village, Emesa Sub-location, Boochi Borabu Location. Kenyenya Sub-county, Kisii County, on 12th December 2025.
