It is with humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the death of Francis Gathenya Ngumi a former head teacher at Githabai Primary school. He passed on Friday 30.08.2019 at Coptic Hospital Nairobi.

Son of the late parents Paul Wachira Gathenya and Hannah Wangeci Wachira. Husband of Rahab Wambui Gathenya. Father of Hannah Wangeci, Grace Njeri, Jane Muthoni, Paul Wachira, Lucy Wanjiku, Simon Kinyua, Jacob Macharia, Gladys Wanja and the late Margaret Wangari and Joseph Kahiro. Brother of Magdalene Kamuyu, Simon Kinyua, Godfrey Gathuku and the late Christine Muthoni,Teresia Wanjiku and Joyce Wanjiru. Father, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many.

The cortege leaves uplands funeral home Limuru on Friday 6th September 2019 at 7.30am. The funeral service and burial will follow thereafter at their Githabai home at 11am.

Meetings and prayers for funeral arrangements are being held daily at their Githabai home at 4pm and in Nairobi PCEA St. Andrew church till 5th September 2019 from 5.30pm.

Francis will be dearly missed by his Wife, children, siblings, grand children, inlaws and a multitude of friends whose lives he touched.

Though you are gone, your light shall forever shine in our lives and hearts.
