It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Gaudensia Oloo Akonde (Jaber Nyang’iya) on 26th March, 2024.

Daughter of the late Odaro Ndeda and the late Dolphine Omollo (Adoli) of Alego Mur Ngiya.

Beloved wife of the late Ezekiel Akonde Oulu of Kisumu Kanyawegi Usare Village, Kisumu West Subcounty. Co-wife of the late Roslida Menya. Sister of the late Paul Khan and Joseph Asin. Mother of the late Nelson Omollo, Late Monica Andango, Andrew Olilo, Dr. Fred Akonde, Rose Achieng and Maurice Ochieng. Step-mother of Doris Buore, Elly Midoro, Turphena Achieng, Charles Owiti, Julius Agum, Sela Ogedo (All Deceased) and Benta Migeni.

Mother-in-law of Eunice, Florence (All Deceased), Mary, Dr. Grace, Esther, Rose, Rahab. Aunt of the late Ndeda, the late Odaro, Gladys Ndeda, David Obiero, Jane Achola and Others.

Grandmother of Kennedy, Alice, Ayub, Susan, Mildred, Paul, Ezekiel, Maurine, Jandy, Joyce, the late Atibo, Tairus, Dolly, Kelvin, Florence, Eliza,Okuta, Barbara, Walter, Irene, Bill, Claris, Adoli, Dennis, Felix, Angela, Dixie, Osteen, Shantel, Ocampo, Stacy, Jesse, Marshal, Pauline, Alipo, Levice (Late), Akon (Late) Ogwanjo, Beatrice, Mika, Joseph and others. The cortege leaves Masaba Hospital on 19th April 2024 for mass at St John Paul II Obambo Church at 1.00pm. She will be laid to rest on 20th April 2024 at her home in Usare Village
