It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of Geoffrey Kiptarus Kimetto which occurred on Tuesday January 8, 2019. He was an Accountant at Shrend Publishers Ltd & Inset Ventures Ltd in Nairobi.
Son of Thomson Kimetto Kurgat (TSC) and Salina Chesang (teacher, Eldoret). Brother of Edith, Kibet, Kiprop, Claire and Eugene Kimetto. He is survived by his fiancee Jacky Bowen and daughter Tessy Tarus. Brother in law of John Kibet (Eldama Ravine). He was uncle of Ethan.
Grandson of the late William Kurgat, late Margaret Sokome and Kop Jepkemei. Nephew of Martin & Lydia, Stephen & Late Christine, Peter & Anne, Jeniffer & Elijah, Elizabeth & Willy, Florah & Joshua, Philip & Franciscah and George & Valentine among others.
His maternal uncles were Simon, Gideon, Kiptallam, Wilson, Luka, Matayo, Kibet, Alfred, Isaac, Michael. His aunties were Magdalene, Joan, Sis. Felistus, Leah, Pauline, Salina, Rael among others. Cousin of Kiptui, Chebirir, Kipsang, Kipruto, Kipserem, Kipkulei, Chirri, Jepkures, Kipchirchir, Kipyator, Jerono, Chelel, Kimosop, Kimutai, Jebiwott, Jepkemboi, Kiplagat, Jelimo, Jebowen, jerop among others.
Friends and Relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at the Eldoret and Salawa family homes from 5.30 Pm.
The cortege will leave Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Eldoret on Saturday, 19/1/19 for burial the same day at his father’s Salawa home in Kabarnet.
It was on this date that you suddenly left us, the pain is still fresh.
We thank God for His Grace so far.
